Shona, is my wife of 11 years. She is an Accountant by profession and an all round great mum the rest of the time! We met 12 and a half years ago in a nightclub of all places. We dated and pretty quickly knew it was just right! We were a perfect match and to coin a great line from the movie Ghost she certainly “completes me”!

As I said Shona and I met and dated and only after 3 months, we had moved in together (her apartment was so much nicer than mine). After 6 months we were engaged. After a year of being together we were getting married, on Valentines Day, in the local church where Shona was Christined. 9 months later, our son Taylor was born, followed shortly there after, by Darcie. When you know it is meant to be…… you just know!

Taylor is now age 10yrs  and Darcie age 8yrs. These two little guys are the real reason behind Shona and myself uprooting and moving 10,000 kms around the world. We were actually both very happy in our home town in Ayr, Scotland and were really reluctant to give it all up. We would go out for dinner and one of us would always know someone, we had our history, our foot print. It was an idyllic existence for us, but I could not say that for the kids.

Over here in Australia, my two children live the outdoors lifestyle. They run around in their bare feet. The sun has bleached their hair white blonde and they are the picture of health. This is the reason why we gave up all we knew to come to the unknown. It was a leap of faith, … and its been worth it!
