…….But lets go back to the beginning…My journey started as a getaway, or a break, plain and simple, I wanted out of the rut in life. I wanted change..
You see after moving from our home in Scotland, searching for our own private Idaho, we found ourselves not quite living the Australian dream, but rather being stuck in the middle of the goldfields region of outback Western Australia. We were some 700km from Perth, with red dirt, dust and scrub all around us. We lived in a very basic government house, which most could call a ’shack’, in an area that reached summer temps of 47degrees, in a small mining town with a population of approx 3000 inhabitants. Although we made some wonderful lifelong friends it was still a far cry from our previous lives as business owners and a teacher, living in our two story home by the seaside in Scotland!
When I say ‘We’ I mean myself, a 38 year old teacher from Ayrshire, Scotland, my wife a 36yr old accountant and my 2 kids Taylor aged 10 and Darcie 7. You may ask why we ended up in such a place, so far away from a major CBD, but the fact was, we were doing it tough in order to get our permanent residency. We had decided we wanted a better lifestyle for our children to grow up in, better weather, for us all to enjoy and also the outdoor beach life, that Australia undoubtedly provides!
We decided very quickly to have as many ’mini’ holidays and weekend breaks at the beach, (some 350km away) as often as possible! With only one town between us and the beach we got pretty familiar with the Gas Station and its shop. It was in this very shop that I came across a book that not only changed the way I looked at life, but kick started me on the journey to financial freedom and Internet Mastery and using the power of my team!
The name of this book is not important in itself, but suffice to say that it was all about the things that school had never taught me. It opened my eyes up to the financial education and possibilities that are everywhere for everyone, if only you choose to look for them. I began my journey to creating wealth and abundance that day.
After reading this book I decided that if I was ever going to truly live the life I deserved, then I had to take action. Serious action.
I began the task of re-educating myself on the basics of the stock markets and learning the fundamentals of Internet Marketing. I chose to work for profit not for pay. I got Internet course after Internet course on how to make money online. I read book after book on wealth creation and personal development. As Jim Rohn said “if I wanted to see change in my life then ‘I’ first had to change”. So change it was! I was growing my mind and learning a new way of thinking.
I set about getting my foundation built- my company and discretionary Trust. I signed up for distance learning courses and flew across Australia in pursuit of knowledge attending seminars and workshops on Internet ‘copy writing’ and ‘google adwords’ tuition. I spent a small fortune in the process on my education, all with the love and support from my darling wife Shona. Without her, none of my successes or businesses would have materialised.
Eventually we got our permanent visas through and we decided to again head off into the unknown, in search of our Utopia. We decided to TAKE ACTION -again!
We wanted the beach, we wanted green grass and trees and hills. I personally wanted golf courses and Shona wanted shops and restaurants. So a drive across the country towing a caravan, with wife, 2 kids and our young pup white Lab had begun. Over 6000km and at least 3days with no phone signal was ahead of us. The final destination was unknown. I knew we had to just take action and that our future would find us.
We gave up our security of a house and our high paying jobs, having only just done the same in Scotland 2yrs previously. We threw caution to the wind and took action and stood by our decision to have a better life for our kids.
It was about this time that I came across a fantastic opportunity for a great lifestyle, with revenues and income, without the overheads. It was an Education Platform online which opened up new horizons for a career suitable for the 21st Century. It was a business which could be fully portable anywhere in the world, was fully automated, had no staff and could run 24/7. It was then that I came across, My Future!
I want to pass on the joy of this lifestyle, that is working from home. I want to show others who feel trapped in the rat race of life, that there is a way out and that all they need to do is TAKE ACTION. I will guide them and coach them through the transition, until they are ready to become a success too.
The Internet is the Real Estate of the 21st Century. With the advent of faster super computers and broadband connections, the cyber world is only going to increase exponentially. The opportunities are endless and people just have to TAKE ACTION and make their dreams become a reality.
