What do I mean when I ask have we lost it? Well I am referring to our ability to lead by example and guide our children in making the correct moral decisions as they pass through each stage of their lives.

You see growing up in today’s society is so different to that which we adults all grew up in. The birth of the internet for one thing has accelerated a child’s learning beyond all recognition. Not only this vital element, but did anyone ever graduate from parent university?

So what prepares us for this humongous task? What gets us prepared to deal with these little bundles of joy that is our off spring? Nothing is the answer! We have no guidance or lessons or rules book to follow. As a result, we all are in effect, feeling our way in the dark with our eyes closed hoping to get through unscathed.

We have to teach ourselves to do the right thing. We have to make decisions based on nothing more concrete than the fact that we are older than the child. This is our qualification. Here lie the problems! But are we up to the task?

Many parents will undoubtedly, pick up the ball and run with it. Many will seek advice from other friends and family and make the right decisions. Many will protect their child from the dangers and shield them from making mistakes. Sadly though, many will not. It is those that do nothing that are the cause of such worrying statistics of poor behaviour and rising crime. This minority are responsible for a hugh majority of the problems in our society. So let’s get it in perspective.

We all need to get back to the core values of engaging with our child and nurturing the best of their talents and keep on doing it. Yes, keep on doing this and you will see before your eyes the difference buy cheap PARTYSMART online in your child.

Focus on what they do well. Ask questions of their teachers. Seek out their strengths and acknowledge their weaknesses.

By doing these simple things, I believe we have not lost it yet. Far from it in fact, I believe there are many great example of fantastic parenting out there but it just doesn’t get the air time. Well, I am here to change that. Through this article and my Blog, I hope to get across the fact that, yes we may not all be perfect, yes we may be fumbling in the dark, but there are a good many of us out there doing a fantastic job of it every single day. We are ‘Knocking out the park’ and our kids are loving us for it.

I believe there is still hope for our future generations, through our guidance, our love and our affection. You just have to believe in it too!

Enjoy the gift that is your child and watch it flourish!
